Terms of Service
Last updated: 25 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Cue Style (“Cue”, “we”, “us”). They cover the website at cue.style, including its style check, the Lookbook and Studio, the early-access list, and the Cue app while it is in testing. By using any of them you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use them.
How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
2. What the website gives you
The website offers the style check, “Learn to dress it” (the steps in your result that show you how to dress your aesthetic), the Lookbook, and Studio, where you build outfits from our sample pieces and can share them. The style check, Learn to dress it and the Lookbook are free of charge and need no account. Studio is free too, and you sign in with Apple or Google to save and share what you build. You can also sign in to save your result to your Cue profile. The website doesn’t style the clothes you own, and it doesn’t sell anything. The Cue app is covered in section 5.
3. The style check
The style check asks you to pick outfits and answer a few questions, and gives you a read of your taste based on those answers. Please bear in mind:
- Your result is an interpretation, generated automatically from your answers. It is for your information and enjoyment, not professional styling, image or colour advice, and it may be wrong. The result page says what it couldn’t work out.
- Until you save your result to your Cue profile, your answers and result are stored in your browser, not by us. If you clear your browser’s data or use another device, they’re gone, and we can’t restore them.
- The colours you see depend on your screen, and may differ from real fabrics.
- Your style card is yours to keep and share for personal, non-commercial purposes.
We may change how the style check works, or what it asks, at any time.
4. About the pictures
The outfits you choose between are illustrations of clothing styles. Some are photographs and some are AI-generated. The people in the photographs aren’t connected with Cue, and nothing on this site means that they use or endorse it. People shown in AI-generated pictures aren’t real. The garments in the Lookbook and in your result are sample pieces used to show a look. They aren’t products we sell, and some of them are AI-generated images too.
If you believe a picture on this site uses your image or your work without permission, email admin@cue.style and we’ll look into it promptly and take it down if needed.
5. Early access and the app’s launch
The Cue app is in testing, and we expect to launch it in early 2027. That is an expectation, not a promise: the date, features, platforms and prices may change, and we may decide not to launch in some countries. The price of a Cue Pro subscription follows section 8.
Joining early access puts your email address on a list, so that we can tell you about the app and invite you to try it if a testing place opens up. It isn’t a purchase, it doesn’t create an account, and it doesn’t guarantee you a place or a launch date. You must be 13 or over to join, and you can leave the list at any time.
6. Who can use Cue
You must be at least 13 to use the website or the app, or to join early access. If you are under 18, please read these terms with a parent or guardian.
7. The app while it is in testing
If you are invited to test the app, these terms also apply to it:
- Your account. Keep your sign-in secure, and tell us at admin@cue.style if you suspect someone else has used your account.
- Your photos. You keep ownership of the photos and other content you add. You give us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and process them only to run and improve Cue for you, as the Privacy Policy describes. Only add photos you have the right to use, and photograph clothes rather than people.
- AI. Cue uses AI services, including Anthropic’s Claude and the other services our Privacy Policy names, to describe your clothes and suggest outfits. AI can make mistakes, so check a piece’s details before you rely on them. Suggestions are for inspiration, not professional advice.
- Shopping. The app may suggest items from other retailers. Product links go straight to the retailer’s own site. We have no affiliate arrangement today, so we earn nothing when you buy. If that changes, we’ll say so beside the links first. Any purchase is between you and the retailer, whose terms apply, and we aren’t responsible for its products, prices, delivery or returns.
- Testing. A test version can have bugs and can change, lose features or stop working, and we may end a test at any time.
8. Cue Pro
Cue Pro is an optional subscription that adds features to the Cue app. What it includes is listed in the app before you subscribe. What is free stays free, whether or not you subscribe: photographing and keeping your pieces, correcting what we tagged, exporting or deleting your data, and everything you have already made.
- Plans and price. Cue Pro is sold monthly or yearly through the App Store or Google Play. The store shows the price in your currency, with any tax it charges, before you confirm, and charges your store account when you do.
- Renewal. A subscription renews automatically, for the same period and at the price then current, until you cancel it. On the App Store, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends; your account is charged for the renewal in the 24 hours before it ends. On Google Play, cancel before the renewal date.
- Cancelling. Cancel in your Apple ID’s subscription settings or in Google Play’s subscriptions. Cue Pro then continues until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and doesn’t renew. Deleting the app or your Cue account doesn’t cancel a subscription.
- Refunds. Apple and Google sell the subscription to you and handle refunds under their own policies, including any right you have to cancel within 14 days. We can’t refund a store purchase ourselves. Nothing here affects your statutory rights.
- The launch price. If you subscribe at a launch price, you keep it for as long as your subscription continues without a break. If it ends and you subscribe again later, the price then current applies.
- Price changes. We may change the price of Cue Pro. The store tells you before a new price applies to your subscription and, where the law or the store requires it, asks you to agree first. You can cancel before it takes effect.
- Limits. Without Cue Pro, some features have a weekly allowance. Some also have a daily limit that is the same for everyone, subscribed or not, so the service stays fast for all. The app tells you when you reach one, and when it resets.
- While Cue Pro is being built. Until its features are kept for subscribers, everything in Cue is open to everyone, so subscribing doesn’t unlock anything extra. The app says so before you subscribe.
- When Cue Pro ends. You keep everything you made while you had it. Saved looks, plans, pieces and what you’ve worn stay yours.
9. Fair use
Please don’t:
- upload anything illegal, harmful, or that infringes someone else’s rights;
- scrape, copy or extract content or data from Cue in bulk, or reverse-engineer it, except where the law allows you to;
- use Cue, or its pictures or results, to train AI or machine-learning models;
- interfere with Cue’s security or with other people’s use of it;
- use Cue in any way that breaks the law.
10. Our content
Cue’s website, app, design, text, looks, style engine and brand belong to Cue Styleor its licensors, and some pictures are used under licence. You may view and share pages and links for personal, non-commercial purposes, but these terms don’t give you any other right to use our content, names or logos.
11. Availability
We provide the website, the style check and the app in testing “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, and without affecting your statutory rights as a consumer, we make no promise that they will be available without interruption, free of errors, or accurate. We may change, suspend or stop any part of them at any time.
12. Our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that can’t be excluded or limited by law, including your rights under consumer protection law where you live, such as the UK’s Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Subject to that, we aren’t liable for losses that weren’t foreseeable, for loss of data you chose to keep only in your browser, or for decisions you make based on a style result or a suggestion. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or £50 if you paid nothing.
13. Ending things
You can stop using Cue at any time, leave the early-access list with the link in any of our emails, and delete your app account in the app’s Settings or by emailing admin@cue.style. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a Cue Pro subscription: cancel it in the store, as section 8 describes. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country, and you can bring proceedings in your local courts. If something goes wrong, please email us first: most things can be put right quickly.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Cue develops, and we update the date at the top when we do. If a change matters to you, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using Cue after that, the new terms apply; if you don’t agree with them, you can stop.
